Following the past two successful years of the SLY Dance Summer School, this year was set to be even better than before. This year the summer project incorporated dance, drama and singing for the students working towards a road-block performance of 'Bugsy Just Got Funky'. All students who attended the summer school said they had a fun learning experience and all gained a place in the final show.

The summer school opened its' doors in the hall behind the Secombe Theatre, Sutton on Tuesday 1st August for registration and introductions. The school then ran from Tuesday to Thursday every week from 1st – 24th August 2006 from 9.30am to 4.45pm with the performance taking place on Friday 25th August.

The dancers spent an afternoon dancing up and down Sutton High Street in costume handing out flyers to promote the forthcoming performance and all worked extremely hard to put on a great show.

The performance, which took place at the Secombe Theatre on Friday 25th August was a huge success with a fantastic turn-out. The performers all did extremely well and Bugsy was certainly very funky that night.
